We didn’t make a huge deal out of it beforehand, but we definitely outdid my wildest expectations with an extended fireworks display in Stormwind Harbor. We had over 1000 fireworks, including clusters and audience available snake burst and “cheaper” non-launcher fireworks and flares. The original plan had been to hand out fireworks to everyone, but the logistics made it easier to have Nutters, Faileas and I do a three person show up top using the launchers and Goodycomp running around supplying the audience some fireworks and launching a few at the crowd level. Troq and Nutters recorded the display, but I think the almost half hour of fireworks filled both of their drives. We hope to see a video, or at least some excerpts, up soon.

As of this post in EDT, it’s been available for six hours.  I know a few people on the West coast managed to get in a bit early as well.  I *just* managed to get my account upgraded and I’m still waiting for the online install to complete so I have very little Wrath release information.  The Dafia now owes a favor of its own for a Wrath Collector’s Edition key.

I can tell you someone hit 450 Skinning several hours before it was officially released on the West coast, there’s a “bug” that’s allowing certain people to do things you’re not supposed to do yet (I may elaborate at a later time), and so far the expected “uneasy truce” is pretty much non-existant on our server with the reported 4 to 1 ratio of Horde to Alliance.

For now, it’s time for rest to let the download and install finish.  I’ll see you out in the frozen wastes!

Just a note from your friends in Stormwardens to have a happy halloween.  Here’s to lots of candy from your local “innkeepers”.  Just try not to scare the locals too much with your Murloc costume, okay?

Kill as many zombies as you can!  The Scourge must be stopped!

There are several phases to the invasion and Necrotic Runes are back.  Too bad I destroyed some a long time ago to get bank space.  I also hope to see true adventurers taking down the new power (new boss) in Karazhan.

Also, I’ve updated parts of the backend of the website.  If you notice odd things, tell Faileas.  I tried to fix it.  She gets to clean up any mess.

Watch out for the incoming Scourge Invasion. Arthas seems to be making his move in the weeks leading up to Wrath of the Lich King. The Argent Dawn is sending out healers to help cleanse the infectious plague from the lands of the Horde and Alliance, but will it be enough to defend the cities and towns of our great Alliance? Will you succumb to the Scourge plague and become the very enemy of all?

Come now, brave (and oft foolhardy) members of Stormwardens! Let us destroy the Scourge and beat back Arthas to his Frozen Throne!
